Accounting Specialist

Support the Finance Department, which includes the Director of Finance, Senior Accountant, and Accountant.  Maintain databases, daily transactions, and collections.

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities:

• Process daily transactions and bank deposits
• Upkeep of Yardi, CampLife, and QuickBooks
• Accounts receivable/accounts payable
• Vendor/1099 management
• Collection of balances due

Secondary responsibilities

• Update policies and procedures
• Provide insight on general accounting trends and best practices
• Special projects as needed
• Continuing education and training
• Other projects as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

Qualification and Education

• 2+ years’ experience in accounts receivable/accounts payable
• Established progressive responsibility within an accounting department
• Understanding of QuickBooks
• Understanding of bank procedures, collection and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Degree or certification in accounting or other related field
• QuickBooks certification
• Understanding of Camp Life and Yardi
• Experience with multi-legal entities under different legal umbrellas
